That has a rear engine right? My pops had one as his first car and would sand bag the front to drop it. :D

That is a beautiful car. My pops had one also... good times.
What is they used to say about the Corvair "unsafe at any speed"
I still think they're cool when cleaned up, congrats!

I had a bud who loved those things. He had one with a factory turbo, and he swapped the turbo internals to goose up the horsepower. Fun car, and really cool looking; congrats!

"Unsafe at Any Speed" was the title of the book that Ralpf Nader wrote about the bogus "tests" he gave them (Corvairs). He had his test drivers brake hard during the cornering tests, to intentionally induce a drop throttle spin. Naders study was rigged, so that even a Porshe 911 (or any other rear engined car) would have failed the handling tests. This was the launching point of Ralph Naders career as America's most famous crooked abulance chaser....

If it's not leaking oil, there's some thing wrong with it.

I always loved those old Corvairs....kind of a poor mans Porche....they handled great if you know how to drive a rear-engine car.
Yours is really a beauty!

It means you have to add more oil:D
Didn't someone have a kit to put a smallblock Chevy in a corvair?
