West wind boat Speed

I just purchased a 1973WestWind jet boat.
It does 65 mph on the speedo
I would like to know a little more about this boat?
It does have a RADical 455 Olds motor in it. Do you guys think it really does 65 mph or is the speedo lieing to me?

Buy or borrow a 12 channel GPS and you will know for sure.

Does that West wind have a bottom on it ?
Meaning a Bubble in front of the pump?
Or a loader with a ride plate?
OH thats right I dont no my azz from a hole in the ground, As others would say!!! eek!

It does have a blueprinted Bottom on it From what I was told! Dont know if it is true or not .
Can anyone explain to me what to look for?
