View Full Version : Optima battery up date:

Well after fighting with optima they replaced it. Turns out that I was right the battery was bad. It was dropping voltage they (optima) charged it to 13v after 8hr it was reading 12.1 volts after 16hr it was 11.3. Glad this is over and thank's to all HB members for your opinions.

Had the same issue with the Napa Interstate version, would be dead in two weeks sitting unconnected. It passed all their tests for the first year so they would not replace it, the second year it dropped a cell, and would not take a charge. don't charge them on a high amp setting either, that will also kill it. Congrats on satisfaction.

Twelve years on my red Optima, I'm sure it's getting near the end of is life span. Buy Red or Yellows never had issues, blues just give you... well the blues

Glad to hear Optima stepped up to the plate and replaced it. I have always had excellent luck with them.
