im looking at installing a jet drive in place of my v drive to add a little interior space. i have seen boats like mine that also came with a jet drive, im just trying to figure out what i need for the conversion.

You're better off keeping it a v-drive. Not a jet/v-drive thing, I know from experience.

If it's a flat bottom, get a different boat, a vee hull with full length strakes.

it is a v haul, and the runners run all the way front to back.

I've got an old Stevens 16' jet. We should trade. :D

does a 16 have room for a rear seat, seems kinda short.

I rarley shy away from a challenge but this is one I've seen attempted (and tried ) Save your money, preserve the Old Cassic Stevens and find a Nice jet You'll be happier and safer. My father-inlaws attempt at this years ago did haul a$$ and I can't deny we all used it but it never worked right and did some very "spooky " involentary U-turns as well as other issues just my 02 Tom

If you want more seating, buy a cruiser. :)

No, I think this one just had a single bench in it. :)
