 What a Baller, so you leave Hallett hanging on a 40' boat, and have the nerve to brag about a new Freightliner. Wow, just lost a lot of faith in you. Did I miss something, or is this how your family operates.

someone just called me about this post. when i get home i would love to address this with you and everyone else. that boat does not have my name on it. magic built my last boat after i helped order that hallett with jerry and magic took $40k and the boat was ready in 8 weeks. dont know who you get your info from, but i am very interested.

Cut and Dry, embarassed??? You have got to be kidding me.
Not that I owe you or anyone else sh*t for an explaination, but I'll make it cut and dry as it seems you have heard a side from someone.
My brother and I went to Hallett in Feb of 2005 to pick out everything for this boat. A deposit was made shortly later with an agreement between my dad and Jerry. Not me!
In March of 2005, I went to Magic and ordered my own boat. Out down $40,000 on a $230k boat and it was ready to go May 13, 2005. Ron Moyes never asked me for another penny, he built the boat and it was delivered and paid for at time of delivery.
Fast forward to early 2006... The Hallett is still not done and they have over $150,000 cash for the boat. It is told to be done for the regatta. Fair request since it was over 15 months later. By that time, they had $200,000 CASH and the boat wasn't done.
So, now my dad has a damn cane and cant even turn his head. Money is tighter for him at this time, but if the boat was done in 2006, no problem. The boat wasn't complete until April of this year. Over 2 years.
I am not saying it is Hallett's fault, but he cant use the boat and after 2 years of it not being done after you paid $200,000 cash to leave a bablance of $70,262, would you not be a little upset at the whole process.
The Barrons are great people in my book. I have never bought a boat from them personally and this deal is NOT mine!!!!!
I have never screwed ANYONE, so get your sh*t straight before accusing me as such!

I appreciate you not drawing that out.
We are aggressively trying to sell our $200,000 in the boat and have even offered to take a $65,000 loss on the $200,000. Meaning someone can take our $200k interest in the boat for $135,000.
That shows that we are trying to come up with something fair. Hallett still gets all of their money.

I am excited, but more stressed as I am still unsure of the purchase as in should I do it. That was one of the reasons I posted it, to try and get more hyped like I was making the right decision.

Well get hyped your doing the right thing. I don't know how much that ride is going to set you back, but who cares you can't take it with you. As of tommorow I'm going to be set back $35,000. Yes I'm pretty scared but fired up at the same time.
I bet the second you drive it on the open road with the tunes blasting, your gonna feel like you did the right thing.

Good, good and expensive!!!!! Parts are a real bitch!! We do diesel truck repair, and the guys that own them on the big trucks die whenever they need work done on them. They had a claim to fame a couple of years ago, as they were exempt from the smog bullshit because they were an imported engine.

I believe the MCB proven powerplant is coupled to the Allison 5000. An Awesome transmission.
Benz was the first some years back to develop the new emissions systems too.
It's all good.

We love ours, and it IS the best tow vehicle available. the only downside you will find is going to be puling the boat out on a slippery ramp. You might want to look into changing the rear tires to something with a more agressive tread. I normally dont launch the boat with outr so we havent found the need to do so.
Other than that, after 5 years of owning ours, We are still amazed every time we tow with it.

What the f*ck is wrong with people? Maybe you should have bought a used Chevy Blazer and a wakeboard boat, that would have been more exceptable to some people on ***boat..... And, you should have explained yourself better with the boat you are selling, because it's EVERYBODYS business what you do and how you do it......

OK... OK...
You are right. I drove it back to Vegas yesterday from St. George, UT about 120 miles and I love it!!!!!
It actually rides VERY nice. 84 MPH 2200 RPMs. At 2000 RPMs I am around 80 MPH.
1600 RPMs was about 70.
I am driving it back to Phoenix today.

Sounds like there has been 2 people that told Michael to pull that trigger! Sounds like we need to put together a road trip/convoy!
And by the way driving empty and not winding the thing up RPM wise you can see 12 MPG.

Still have the Rhino, but toy hauler gone, and I dont see one in the future.
In terms of trailer, just a basic 24' enclosed and I am not worried about getting stuck with that.
I also started going to Buttercup 95% of the time and always get a spot close to the road away from the soft stuff. However, I wont even chance it with this one.

I am really pissed about it. I had this date on my calendar set since April for a day at the lake. We had the Dr. appointment for my wife's 6 week post baby delivery, and she was given the green light, but now my boat isn't ready to go. Not happy.

It is all apart for the stereo install. Not the stereo shop's fault. They got the boat 1 week later than my appointment because the other shop took their sweet time and still didn't get it done then pushed me back 3 times to pick it up. Still unfinished. I am very pissed about it.
When I bought the boat, I had this weekend as the start of our season, now this weekend is focked.
