I have a 20 ft sleefcraft tunnel with a 502 and a berk JC. Right now I have a an AA impeller in it and it spins 5000 and gps around 69. A buddy has a B impeller I was thinking about trying because he wants to try my AA with his blown bbc/dominator set up.
Do you think this will help or hurt me? How much more rpm can I expect? I was thinking 500 more......Anyway any help wopuld be great before I pull the trigger and pull it apart.
Thanks again!!
Travis.

Depends on where your cam makes power. AA 5000 rpms should be around 500 hp.

Have you seen the Extended Impeller Chart that I posted some time back. Look for it, I think you're a good candidate for an A or A/B impeller. But a C looks kind of small.

It wouldn't hurt to try the B, your boat would probably run faster with it. You may loose a little on the holeshot. You'll turn somewhere in the neighborhood of 500-700 rpm more.
The only concern would be the wear ring sizing and whether they are the same style impeller.

What 502 said. You should get about 600 RPM, plus anything extra the increased rpm adds with increased HP. It will likely cost you a bit in holeshot, and you may decide, depending on what type of boating you do, to eventually cut the AA to an A, or maybe an A/B.
If your boat is fairly light, and your load normally is too, you may not notice a great holeshot loss. Just have to try it to see.

thanks for the input guys!!! My hole shot is incredable now but i wont mind if it goes away a bit, we usually race eachother from a 25-30 mph start anyway! I think I will atleast ry it and see what happens for the weekend!
Thanks again, and any more input is always great as well!!!
