I'm currently wiring up my kill switch and I'm a little confused!
Kill switch has a black wire and a red wire
and I know that the object is to run the ignition wire to the kill then to the ignition on the starter switch.
So is the black wire just a ground or is it ignition in (black) and ignition out (red) so the circuit and be broken when the clip is pulled?
help me out
thanks

If you have a magneto, you want to ground the mag to kill it. If you have regular ignition, you want to cut the power to it.

If its not a mag just take the wire from the ignition switch to the dist. and cut it. then splice your kill switch in between the two cut wires. Make sure it has normaly open contacts when the safety cap is removed. If its a kill switch for a mag it will have a normaly closed set of contacts with the cap off. The color should'nt matter unless you have three wires on the kill switch.
