They called one of my tow truck drivers Saturday, about pulling it up, but never got back with us. The owner said it was a Hallett, but that is all I know.

Give slow burn a little more time and I bet they run as hard or even harder than mine, they only need 6 mph,
I was there when he made that pass, He hung it out a little :D remember It is going to take time to dial her in, I have hours under mine, and so will you, it is half the fun.

hey chris...it was about a 1/2 mile south of twin palms just off that sandbar after the bend. she was flipped and with the belly up and the nose was looked like it was trying to stay high but the current was pushing down on the boat pretty hard.

with the belly up, it wouldnt take much to have a rope with a carribener clip all set and dive down and clip it on the bow eye. take the rope and tie it to something on shore. a tree, heavy anchor, something. atleast it gives a fighting chance for recovery. sure hope it got recovered. sad news for sure.

it was my buddy dave's boat from water wheel. his son and a couple of friends headed down river and decided to shut it down and float for a bit. they took a couple of waves over the back from a wake board boat and down she went. dad wasn't toooooo mad. said it needed a new motor anyway.

They know what boat it was? They are responsibe for their wake and the damage it causes.

I don't know how practical it would be, but I'd love to see the LEO check those wakeboard boats to see if they are overloaded. I'm not sure how practical a test they could derive would be, but those f'rs cause a ton of destruction "in their wake', and it is no pun.

Just another example of why those barges should be banned from anywhere except the ocean. Would like to hear about the WB boat stopping to help, offering information for insurance claims, and just saying I'M SORRY, I'm a MORON.............MP

I look at it one way and one way only. If those WB Boats can make big waves and make boating a pain in the ass. I can ROOST there open bow and flood there boat. Hey two can play that game, F**Kem.

Overkill, The Sheriff gave me a warning about my Roost. A jet ski flea, who was way to close to me decided he was going to criss cross under my Roost. Guess who got the warning. I was responsible for my roost and if that dumb a$$ was injured it would have been my fault. To bad they dont apply that reasoning to the wakers.
I cant remember the waters ever being so waked up.
I've been swamped by a big boat and you don't have much time to see who's boat did it. It happens real fast. All I saw was a Big White Boat with blue accents. Kinda narrows it down to a couple of hundred that day.:D No one saw anything but there sure were allot of boats around me that didnt offer any help. What comes around goes around I hope.
Did they recover the boat?

That Sucks to hear about the boat. When I was at Waterwheel a month or so ago, I could not believe how many of these wake boats are down by that part of the river. I thought you needed a jet to run down there! My favorite part was launching the boat, and these idiots are pulling wakeboarders back and forth in front of the launch ramp. I kept waving my arms in the air like, WTF! My boat is transom down, trying to get off the trailer, and I am taking rollers over the rear like crazy. Why do they insist on Showboating in front of the park, lanuch ramp, or casinos? Wouldnt you want to pull your tuber or skier in a unpopulated area? I dotn understand it. I approached one of the guys on the launch ramp, and asked him, what gives man, didnt you see us trying to launch the boats? His response, Oh ......Sorry.

Ya sorry wouldn't cut for me. But what else can you expect now day's. Almost every person 16-25 years of age is a piece of S**T. No respect and no brains!!

Seems as though we need to approach these boats, make a big deal out of writting down their reg numbers, tell them we're gonna watch them all day and give their numbers to anyone that suffers any un pleasant conditions because of them. (just rocking a boat too hard could cause serious injury to those aboard, elderly/children) Inform them they are totally responsible for any damage caused by their wake, and you WILL report all such actions you see them commit, all day long. A video camera would be cool as well. Hell, just get ahead of them, park, and roll film........My experience tells me it is useless to try to reason with these moronic showoffs. More money than brains, hit them in their wallet/insurance company. This is a plague that won't stop until they are as thick as lake lice..............MP

This would be cool for taping passing boats. Just mount it turn it on and forget about it for a while. If nothing happens within 2 gigs of video, start it over. I would love to see more video of stupid people on the water.

I've talked to some of these boat owners back at the beach and most don't know that they are responsible for their own wake. I dont think they really care.
For every non wake type boat I counted 12 wake boats this past Sunday. That was in a few hours. There was a half hour period that is was just about every boat launching was a waker. I knew it was going to be a rough day on the water.
It sucks that I have to get up before dawn to get some descent water to boat on. By 7 am its a mini ocean.
I like the video idea...

Whay are all of these wake board boats invading the lower river? Is it because the water level has been up lately or something? How could someone that owns property down there, a local, decide that a tow boat is more fun that a jet? I thought River Rats like to keep it old school! I guess that they feel they have to keep up with the jones's. Good luck.

Well those river front property owners need to measure their property. The "wakebarges" toll on their riverfront is for REAL.......There are areas of waterways that are "No Wake" for that very reason, erosion........Good grief man, these boats will make Parker strip 3 feet deep, and a mile wide in a very short number of years.........WHY are those boats allowed anywhere on the river??????.................MP
