Had a pretty interesting conversation with BillyB the other day and he claimed he towed all the way to Burley Idaho last year with his Dolly trailer with no problems!
I personally think a dolly trailer for the road would be great, not to mention that working on the boat would be a hell of alot easier as well as storage in the garage!

Thats a huge scoop!!!!!!! That thing looks like it will fit in at RCR with a scoop like that.:D I bet regular headers will make more power on that motor than the zoomies will. Im kinda suprized that nobody has bought this thing yet its kinda looking like Bill might actually end up driving this thing.

Todd, please give Bill a hand with that scoop. :D
Bill ... I have to agree with Mike here ... you need some serious help there ...
How about a new scoop tray that'll lower it like the old blazing paddles scoop:

Me thinks those little tires will wear out twice as fast as big ones. lol

congradulations bill. and id have to agree, the scoop is a bit much, but fock em man, nothing wrong with being differant.:2purples:
btw. if those little tires are DOT approved they are designed for long hauls. most tent trailers use them for many many miles. i have them on my dolly trailer and ran it 200 miles a couple weeks ago and the tires didnt get warm at all. average speed of 60-65mph. were you need to keep an eye on is the axle bearings and hubs. every time you stop run back and feel the hubs (and tires) for temp.

I talked to todd last night - he's got the scoop thing under control.
Busby do you have another tray or would one need to be fabbed, i am looking for a better way to anchor that thing down.
I'll be runing the dolley until the wheels burn off :D should be ok I hope I know billy and those guys run up to CFW with there dolley trailers dont they?
The rest of the parts come in today from rex and that should be it.
As far as the headers, it's kind of all I have right now I might be able to run a set of bassett shorties but not sure yet.
I've got to thank Herb for such a great job, he works on it in his spare time even when I cant make it over there, awesome guy, really building this thing like it was his own.

I would agree. Don't change the headers though. Strap an 14-71 to it instead.

victorfb - I knew it was missing something :D - pump is being assembled, we'll pull the motor back out to set it. Motor is in now as a mock up so we can install everything else.
Ya that scoop is stupid big but I like it.

just kidding, for real ... he's the guy, certianly not the cheapest ... but one of the best IMO ... here's his number 714-526-7930 ... he's really a cool guy to work with ...

Bill, looking good. Please let todd take a swing at that scoop though. I am more partial to injection hats though. I say call Mr Gasket and cut Tod out of the deal. lol.
Mike, That trailer has made it to the river several times under Money$ucker. They are High speed DOT rated D load range trailer tires. If they are good enouh for a pontoon boat they should handle a few trips to the river under a light drag boat.
