Wow what a weekend. Sold my old motor on Thursday, sold the drag hydro on saturday, blower motor got dropped of saturday afternoon and went down to Palm Springs on Saturday night to pick up the new hydro.
Blown 468 with an 871. It was in a pump boat so I have to change a few things but otherwise ready to go.

Dropped the Lenco of at RBR today and should have it back by tuesday, then all I have to do is start putting everything back together, seems like I just did this shit a few weeks ago -
oh well, seems like the boating world is a constant strive to upgrade - but I think after this one is put together I'm done, until next year when we go with aluminum heads and a super chiller - OK then I'm done for sure. :D :D

Does your hydro have those fins on the trut, is that to help in the lift? No..We don't have those..But they do help kick the tail alot sooner..and help keep it there with less HP.. wink wink

Bill, Great looking boat. Is that the one the guy did not have the title on ??
I talked to him last year about the boat and the price was real cheap on it.
He's a friend of Eddie Knox and Eddie did alot of setup work on the boat. The boat sits higher on the trailer because of the longer rudder that was made for the boat. (correct me if i'am wrong about the boat)

This hydro was in Palm springs, I'm not sure if it's the same one you are referring to but I have been talking with this guy for about 8 months or so. It looks like it's set up pretty well. Originally he wanted $5,500 (I think), which was out of my price range, but we eventually came to an agreement. It's pretty bad ass this is one of those deals that you have no buyers remorse over.
It does have the extended rudder and a few other tricks done to it. These parts he turned over with it are really turning into a gold mine, the more I look through them the more I realize what a great deal this was.

The rusty part at the bottom is a 5" extension that the previous owner added to race - So that would make 15" to the return and I think 20 to the bottonm of the boat -
Picked up 2 bullet tanks yesterday from RBR - should have them installed today

Picked up the bullet tanks - one is a 6 gl and the other is an 8 - Figured it would be enough for the river and if I wanted race I could take the big one out.
Cut the supports and had them lightened- here is what it will look like - before polish

Picked up the battery box still not sure where to put it but it's shiney and I guess thats all that counts.
http://www.***boat.com/image_center/data/500/16MVC-745Fbattery-med.JPG
Installed the gears, the in and out and the J drains.
Should have the fuel tank brackets back from the polisher by friday , then I can install the tanks and start running lines.
