Two questions:
Where is the plate positioned, and how many teeth are on your steering shaft gear?

Count the teeth on your steering sprocket...usually 11 or 17 (I think).

Probably have an 8 tooth sprocket on the steering shaft, put a larger one on!..

Thank you for your help! I will check and see how many teeth it has. I guess I need to go with a larger sprocket? Can I get these at Rex marine? Once again thanks for your help.

Those sprockets are a Morse part number. You can get those through McMaster Carr. Hope that helps...

My Nordic is kinda slow to turn. Maybe I need a bigger gear???

I think you want to go with a smaller gear. The larger the gear the further (harder) the rudder will turn the boat than if you have a smaller gear. Most of the circle boats (that I have noticed) usually have a big gear (higher number of teeth) than most other boats.
