I would say that the boat you have is similar in size and weight as an Ultra 21LX or stealth. I think it takes something like 550- 600hp to run that #. A stock 21LX jet with the 390 HP BBC runs like 55-58 MPH. Alot of boat to move through the water.

I would agree with those numbers...

Depending on what layup, pump, setup, setback, and motor 500 hp and a B impeller is possible my 21 hawaiian with a mild 2.0 wacker, and jackplate ran 72 on gps.

It's possible I suppose, my 21' Eliminator mojave runs 63 with a GEN VI 454HO turning a tight AA impeller 5000 rpms. One guy in the boat, sea level and about 10 gallons. I guessing I'm about 500 hp. I have a droop, place diverter, AA impeller, ride plate, loader grate and no hook in the boat. So I would imagine 70 is possible with about 600hp.

The motor is turning 5000 rpm with a A and hitting 58 mph on gps.

58mph is not bad at all. My buddy's 20' Carrera only goes 55gps with a 502!

Once you hit 60 the power required for each additional mph increases considerably...
There are a few Southwind cruisers that are in the 80's with just over 700 hp. These hulls are not deep v's at all, so if yours is that may impact things some(among other things)

I'm pushing my 21 Shockwave 68 (gps) with a ZZ502. Thats a 3400 lb boat plus 4 batteries, 3 amps, and 40-50 gals of gas. I'm hoping to hit 70 with a few little adjustments.

Never dyno'd it, but it is stock, other than the Crower roller rockers and headers.
They advertize 502 hp at 5400 rpm.

70 is doable ...my old 77 eliminator 21 did 67mph with 550hp and a little pump work i would say 600hp might be your number with a good bottom and some pump blueprinting..

There was a guy who was pulling ski racers with a 21' Eliminator mini day cruiser jet. He had a top speed in the high 90's. He was making a LOT of HP. Twin turbo running Dominator carbs with custom made fuel bowls - they were really bitchen looking and were about twice as big as the normal fuel bowls. I can't remember if it was 1200 or 1500 hp...but you get the point. The guy also ran a full interior in the boat. This was about 10 years ago or so.

It can be done, I would call Ron @ AT they have some stuff that will get the job done fairly easy, at least as far as the pump.
