So I just finished putting my new foot thottle and new cable in my '78 Challenger. I started it up and it works smoothly. The only problem is... I don't have a frickin turck to pull it to the river this weekend. DAMN!!!!!!!! I'm currently looking for a decent chevy pickup, (So if you know of any I have about 2500) I usually go to Squaw Lake and launch but I haven't been there in 3 years. How do you get a weekend permit any way? Hows the water and traffic been looking lately? I can't wait to get a truck.

Wheres Squaw lake at? What happened to that other truck you were pulling it with. If you can make it up San V you can make it up anything!!! Lol. The hardest part of the drive is probably the grade on the 8. Unless your truck overheats I wouldn't worry too much. Last time I took my boat from Lakeside to Martinez it took 5 1/2 hours, and we left at 12:00PM:jawdrop: "small gas tank in dually, and pee stops for our local drunk :D"

Sold the Isuzu. It spun the one tire too much plus my chick can't drive stick. Squaw is right next to Senators Wash in yuma area. If you come out of hidden shores and cruise by the damn, its the first lake on the left. There is also the intrance to clear lake through squaw.

I've hung out with the young chicks. Too much drama for me. Maybe a 36 year old single mom is what I need. Some one that enjoys things like godsmack and the river and enjoying life. Instead of, where are we going to get drunk tonight, buy me this, you don't need a new parts for your car, I need a new gucci purse, can you fight this guy he looked at me wrong... Just worth a thought...

I know that us women are so hard to figure out. I used to be that girl, you live, you learn. Now adays it is about living life and not having drama. You seem like someone who has alot going for him and knows what he wants, keep it up, you are gonna make somebody very happy one day!!

rvrburg-
Yeah i see what your saying... I just don't wanna wait another 5-10 years to find some one to make happy. Or for some one to grow up... I had a part time job when I was thirteen and have been working ever since. I've had six years of growing up, and yeah I have a lot to go, but these 20 yr old chicks have more. But thank you for your insight, I just gotta keep the pedal down and keep looking. Plus I'm sure you'd rather ride in that bitchin howard than in my '78 challenger.... No worries.
blowncarrera-
It would be an honor to buy you lunch, however you'll have to use my debit card, because I don't own a CC. Everything I own has been bought with cash. Hopefully your truck is GM cause I don't wash anything else. Actually, I stopped washing other peoples cars at 15 when I started wrenching. But no worries, you supply the soap and water. I would like to see how a "real man" operates the ladies...

Randy,
Have you looked into the police auctions or at some of the junkyards in the southbay. They have some nice trucks for sale that are cheap in price. Some might be salvaged but for the price, you can tow your boat to the river. Just a thought. Also, Craigslist is a good site to check out.
Good luck and get your boat out at the river this summer!

So far I have a line on two really decent trucks. A guy on here has a 1988 extended cab dually already lowered with alcoas for 3500. And I found a very decent 1977 K5 Blazer 2wd for 2500 on craigslist. Ive already talked to the guy with the blazer, but I would much rather have the dually already lowered. Plus he's a fellow ***boater. Either way it will be out at the river this summer.

There you go, my uncle had a old blazer, thing was bitchen! I would say go with the blazer rather than the dully, just my .02 cents. I like the pic of your boat that you put on your advantar, looks awesome. And I would be stoked to ride in it, doesn't have to be a 26' anything, just going out and havin fun is what it is about.

I've been told I'm a funny guy. I would love to go out to the river this weekend but I have a race up at orange show speedway... You should come up and bring your boys. Or come by yourself. Its so much fun and a great atmosphere. Plus all the wrecks you can imagine.

Its a quater mile circle track in san bernadino. Its kinda like NASCAR. Its a blast to just watch. I pit on a super late model car (number 5) and I have driven a couple other cars. Plus they sell beer or you can bring your own in a cooler. After all the races everyone gets to come into the pits and hang out with the drivers and the crews.
