Is it really street legal and insureable, do you have to smog it or is it exempt, what is it registered as?

Yep, I've been driving it every now and then all summer. It is registered as a 73 VW. It has two sets of exhaust tips, the set that is on it now are muffled for the street (though it is still very loud). Also I took off the roof light rack for the street and thats also why there is tape over the front Hella lights. It has trun signals, brake lights, the whole deal. It pulls wheelies second and third gear. The pictures don't do it justice. The hood has ghost flames in the black stripes.

Very nice looking Long travel car. What are the reasons that you are selling the car? How many street miles versus dirt miles?

I took it in on trade from the original owner. I've known him a while and I know how he treats his stuff, so I had no problem taking it in. I had planned on keeping it for myself, but we are now so busy going to races with the boys that I know I will not have time for it. When we do go to the desert, we now go to Superstition (not the sand). I really don't want to beat this car up at Superstition, it's way to nice. I know it can handle it, I just don't want to do it.
Dave (the original owner) only took it on the road one time for just a couple of miles. I used it to pick the kids up from school and drove it around to local car shows this summer for a total of about 100 miles.
I might be interested in taking trades on it, but I would really just like to sell it.

I think it's sold. I had a customer in here last Thursday ordering a boat that decided he wanted the Manx too, but the wife said no. His wife just got a hold of me and wants to pick it up for him.

These cars are built to run hard. They just scored well in the Sand Addiction Mag. sand car test. Nice to be able to drive in the off season too. 15 ft.total length so they fit in most toy haulers.
Damn, almost have myself talked into one. Might have to go for a package deal on one of your used 21 ft. jets and the Manx/lol.
