Here is a fuel rail that I made this morning with som free time. It's out of copper with two rubber coated SS clamps bolted to the valve cover. It is going to feed to 660's or??? The two ends sticking up have 1/4 female pipe fittings to go to a -06 AN adapter to the carbs. The guage doesn't hit the cover but it is very close.

Copper work hardens and cracks, I wouldn't want a fire on my boat.

this is very true, thus the rubber isolation mounts and type K copper. I'm open for all comments and criticism. Thanks keep em coming

I think I would hang it off the carb studs/bolts away from the heat of the valve cover............MP

I made mine out of fuel injection rail. I have about $15 bucks into it with the fittings.
I wouldnt run copper, to many "whatifs" for me. just my .02

I think it looks good. Very nice craftmanship. The only thing that would bug me is the coloring. Can you powder coat copper?

So the fuel is too cold?......The valve cover will still be quite warm even in an "open" enviroment. The clamp will transfer heat to the copper, heating the incoming fuel. The upper reaches of the intake don't see the hot oil that the underside of the v/c does.......Just my .02........MP

Yeah I think I could either powerder coat it or chrome it, or just rattle can it.

I think the rubber will be a good insulator, but you are right, anything to keep the fuel cooler would help. I was considering making a couple of aluminum extensions from the manifold.
It was funny I had someone tell me when his tunnel ram iced up once and I didn't believe him until it happened to me up at clearlake in nor cal. I could scrape the ice off the sides of the tunnel ram on an 80 degree day. Talk about a dense fuel charge!!!

Let's see 120 degrees during the day sun beating down, i don't think it really matters where he puts it.

You're right, Bolt it to the cylinder heads, down by the exhaust ports, it aint going to matter.........He can aways put NOS on it to bring the fuel temp back down........MP

Wise enough to keep the fuel line away from anything that gets hot......MP

I agree with moneypit put it up away from the heat of the valve covers. It's hot enough out there with the sun beating on it, might as well not add to it.
You did a nice job, personally i dont like the copper look. Why not have superdave or sombody make you a stainless fuel line with a AN fitting that accepts a fuel guage. Thats what i plan to do and i have basically the same setup as you, my manifold is just alittle different.
Here's my current setup that i'm going to replace, it was a temp setup to get me out there that weekend. I'm not sure if you have the same issue as i did but i pretty much have to use SS line because the linkage runs so close to it. Using braided or the AN carb fuel tube dilio's had issues with my linkage hitting them.
