1973. It was the last boat that ski racer Gil Younger built in his signature baby poop green metal flake and orange in Irwindale CA before Otis moved Nordic to Havasu. I used to run it with NJBA in the '80s when they had MPH brackets. It ran a best of 86. Problem was, an 85 MPH flat could not ET like an 85 MPH jet boat so I ran a big 3 blade and the boat was competitive running 79.99 MPH. I even ran it in a COBRA Circle Boat Race once. Didn't do very well. Later I slid the motor back 18" and put four seats in it and that's how it is now. It's great for smooth water, water skiing. You can pull skiers all day on a tank of gas.

thanks for all the info. :) nordic it is then. just guessing where to set the bbc. from the h2o side measuring from the timing chain cover to the back of the transom is 32 inches. the gearbox is behind the front seats on the boat instead of in front like most vdrives i see. thats leaves me with a short, 16 inch drive shaft. i know nothing about v-drives but the former owner said the motor was too far back. he had a shorty powerglide in it. we are not going to use the trannsmission so who knows. thanks again guys.....
