Yesterday had to run halfway up Cajon to get a train, this is what I found when I got there....I love Cajon in the winter....the place gets so quiet and serene....drifting downgrade through this kind of scenery with my cup of coffee, these are the days I love my job.... :rollside:

Here's one more of a westbound set of BNSF helpers about to top off the hill and head down towards San Bernadino....this place is known as Summit, and begins the start of the steepest, most treacherous grade west of the Mississipi........the second train is a westbound BNSF grain train about to head down the North track. It is waiting for an eastbound coming up the hill so it waits back in the hole for a slot down the North, because it is too heavy for the south due to the steepness of the grade down there....

When I was a teenager, I hopped a freight train in Colton, got busted in Barstow by a Sante Fe yard dic....spent 4th of July weekend in the Barstow jail, for minor possesion of alcohol and trespassing on Santa Fe property :cry:
