LOTS of people think that the hotel california is the CRC prison in Norco. Anyone have any input on this? Was this song inspired by a stay at CRC? Anyone else hear this rumor?

The picture on the cover is of the Hotel California in Totos Santos, 52 miles north of Cabo on the pacific coast. It was abandoned when I was there 7 years ago. The bar in the lobby was open however! I read a couple years ago that 2 investors were re-opening it for business and marketing it with the song in mind.
There is a really great RV park 5 miles south towards Cabo called San Padrito RV park. A sand trail on the coastal trail takes you to it. Right on the beach. It is way cool and I hope to get back there one day.
