Best Video Cam under $500 ???

Although not under $500, anyone thinking if one of those small HD cameras at about $950, and expecting magic, THINK AGAIN!
And FYI I have a gently used Panasonic AG-DVC-30 pro mini dv camcorder with spare battery available for a good price. Just pm me. This camcorder will work well with as little as 1 street light at night, or full moon. It has 18db enhancement and is IR capable. I own three, and they are the best camcorder under $4K ever made.
