I have a 92 Carrera Eclipse 20'. Inside it's just like an 18'.
Does anyone know what the stock steering cable length is? I'm pretty sure the one I have now is too long, and locked up as well.
I don't have the boat with me but need to order a new cable by the weekend.
Thanks

I just put a new one in my eclipse due to identicle problems. It had a 16 in it. I put a 14 and its great but i think a 13 is closer to the perfect length. I got the 14 new on ebay from a boat place in florida for about 150.00 with a new helm and cheesy steering wheel to my door in about 5 days. It took a little work but all the nice factory aluminum steering crap will work the new helm, and it steers like its got power steering now.

Yeah, we haven't been since Fathers Day weekend. Gonna try to leave by Friday morning.
Ok, so I picked up my boat and measured the casing and it's coming up 163".
So don't you add 22" and round up? That's coming out to a 16' cable. Although I have a droop, I still think the one I have is too long.
Any ideas where I can order a new cable and get it by Thursday?
