Where do you women get the straw cowgirl hats? You know the ones that are in style right now and you all wear at the river. Usually dyed pink or something like that maybe. Any websites or anything? My wife wants one for her birthday. We got one at the OC swapmeet but it's kinda cheap and will not hold up in the water. Also the dye will come off in the boat. Thanks for the help.

Would Nord's store carry that?

My wife has one made by Hurley? It's not dyed though but has the logo and Hurley lettering in a hot pink color. Guessing your local surf or skate shop should have them.

I just looked on there but all I see are Stetson and the likes. I'm talking about the kind the hotties are wearing at the Sandbar and such. Then again if your there your looking at their boobs and not their hats. :D

Okay, there are no images for the hats, if you live by Orange, then stop by and see what I have, I have sold a lot to river peeps, they aren't a traditional cowboy hat like you would think. If you don't like what I have, there is a Pac Sun in the mall, and an active board shop.............

FYF,
I block/shape and clean all hats in-store. I can make a hat look any way you want it to. If you want a straw, the more pumbled it looks, the better IMO. If you have something in mind, send or bring me a pic...

The ones you are thinking of are called "crushable drifters" by Peter Grimm. For example..

My wife picked one up at Target. They had a bunch of them. Doesn't say Hurley on it but sure looks the same for $10. Besides if you want to be unique this summer wear something that doesnt say Hurley.

Yeah that's the kinda stuff. Her birthday was today so I gave her other things and the hat is an IOU. It's okay because I have an IOU for some glasses because she couldn't find red Oakley's.

Bichen. If we can get down there I will stop in and check them out. I'd kinda like a nice black one or something and some boots for when I want to play Cowboy.

Groovy. I'll check it out but San Diego is a couple hours away. :(

Problem with $10 bucks is we want it to last. Are they any good. And I don't want dye all over my interior.

Honestly, none of the straw hats will last with boat use. Get one, run it a couple of trips and retire it. They won't last. Sun, water, getting smashed in a bag, jammed under the helm while hauling ass etc... all take the toll on these things. They look better and better the more they fall apart fortunately, but they won't hold up for long once tattered, and it is time to get a new one.
I have a buddy that owns Plasticclothing.com and he sells the hell out of them on there. Here is his link....

They are all Peter Grimm hats, but he does some additional artwork on them and distressing and such to make them look even pimper.

Thanks. I now have a myriad of options to show my wife and let her pick whatever she wants.
