Hey guys.. I've got a 19' 74 Sleekraft, unsure what model, with a olds and jacuzzi jet I've had for a few years now. I've slowly been tinkerin with it and would really like to find parts for this classic. Located on Chicago southside.
If anyone can help me out I'm lookin for the following or where to find parts:
sbf, bbf, bbc, sbc waterpump and flexplate cover, and mounts.. the olds aint cuttin it. Which is the better choice for a mild combo and pump gas?
some basset headers for any of the above
and where can I find parts to rebuild the jet? It's got some slop on the main shaft and the impeller has seen better days, and also a intake grate. Or should I just ditch that jet and find something else.. hear jacuzzi's are pigs

Well, there's always the Ford vs Chevy stuff, so go with what you want. In my opinion, go BBC :D However, small blocks are always cheaper, but wont make the same torque/power to go really fast. Dont know much about Jacuzzi either but I'm sure they get the job done. I guess it depends on what you want the final outcome to be and your budget...:)

Are just the first two that come to mind.
As for motor changes, There are alot of Olds boats that make good power. What problems are you having with your Olds? Check realoldspower.com for help with the Olds. If you decide to change I would go with a BBC, But if you really want more performance look into a agresser kit for the pump, Made by American Turbine. Most will agree it is cheaper in the long run to just buy a BBC boat with a Berk pump.

thanks for the link, I've done a little searching here n there and couldn't find much on jetboat parts.
as for the olds motor.. it's got a tweaked rod and most of all it's an olds motor. It'll need to be gone through anyhow so I figure ditch the anchor and step up to some cheaper/better power of either a bbc or bbf. I haven't seen but 1 jet boat with small block, I'm betting thats because without going over the mild side they just don't make the tourque to move the water. I'm really contemplating a bbf or cobra jet since it's kinda rare to seed Ford power in one, and I'm a fan of the oval but have a sbc race motor:confused:
what is this aggressor kit you speak of? I can't remember what model jet mine has.. someone looked at it once and told me there's 2 models of jacuzzi's and one is more performance oriented and mine was the lesser.
final result of what I want is just a cool boat with some power to shit n get and a nice rooster tail.

here's some pics.. as ya can see it's a project but I've seen worse off. Did take it out a few times messin with the motor and ended up pullin it out to inspect it because it wouldn't spin over 4500rpm to save its life. And the collectors suck! They are about 4" too short so at idle it drips sooty water all over the backside.

Did it have a small olds? How was the performance when it ran? I wouldnt be scared off of throwing in a SBC...there are plenty out there, but I havent seen any that would do over 55mph. At least the normal pleasure boat types...the options are endless. Why not be different and throw in a Lamborghini Offshore V12?? :D
Just depends on what you want out of it and yr budget...

^^^^ no it's a big block olds. It's got that intake can't remember if its a torker or what and a mild cam.. guessin it at 300hp and 360ftlbs. I figure a bbc or bbf mild and try and get around 500ftlb and 350+hp. Or a sbf injected with a vortech or procharger since you can find a complete setup relatively cheap.
