I have heard a couple of people talk about putting speaker horns in their boats instead of a 6.5" coax or pair of seperates. Some people I have heard talk about them just think they are louder then hell. Anybody else doing this or heard of this?

I believe they are referring to a horn tweeter, which is just treble. They use them at concerts, so if you want some seriously crisp clear lyrics and high frequency sounds then sure go for it. If you are going to install them you better have some serious bass and mid-range to back it up. my .02

They are very cool. They are also pretty expensive. If I did mine all over I would have added a couple of sets of these.

My buddy Marshal just bought a wakeboard boat that has the most bitchin system in it, 6 horns, 8 mids, and 4 12's. the fuggin thing is so loud it's unreal, zero distortion. He turned it on at foxes and they shut the house stereo off. :D those horns put out some serious trebble
