Stock is no good. Fel-Pro or Cometic. Most will recommend Cometic with a blower.
Always use top quality bolts or studs from ARP.

I would upgrade the head gaskets. Howver my 502 with a whipple lasted 645 hours before the head gasket started to leak between #5 and #7 cylinder.

I have run successfully with Fel Pro with no issues to ten pounds boost. If you are not going over 12 pounds which I DO NOT recommend in your application, Fel Pro Marine or Fel Pro High Performance Stainless Steel inserted gaskets will be just fine. Also, there will be no issues with what surface you will have to have your block milled with to accept the Cometic gasket.

Nobody For O-ringing The Block And A Copper Gasket? I REALIZE THE BLOCK WOULD HAVE TO GO TO THE MACHINE SHOP BUT YOU'D NEVER BLOW ANOTHER ONE.

YOU ARE OK UP TO 6 LBS ON THE STOCK GASKETS. I WENT TO 7 LBS AND PUSHED THE GASKET AT 5 , 7..
REPLACED STOCK GASKETS WITH COMETIC, STAYED AT 7 LBS AND NO MORE ISSUES....
