 i bought a 33 tooth 1/2 pich pulley of ebay so i could run my setup 1 to 1 if i ever wanted to.i went out to swap them and my pulley has a 2" hole in the middle of it,but, the ebay has a 21/4" hole in the center.the bolt holes are the same.can i safely run the ebay pulley on my boat???

marty , the snout on your hub or lip on your balancer is what "takes" the load, the bolts are to keep it in place. kinda like putting the wrong wheels on a truck and it starts breaking lugnuts cause the studs are bearing the weight instead of the axle. make a spacer for it.

thanx,i kinda thought that,i may just swap the top puley and the bottom pulley.my bottom pulley now is 32 and top is 35,so it should be 9% over if i swap them, correct??

Ii'll check , i've got a boost chart link somewhere i'll get ya.i'm pretty sure boostdaddy sells the adapter to change the register from 2 to 23/4 or whatever, but the thinest 1 is 1/4. here's a link that'll give ya an idea of what i mean:

i am planning on running av gas and marvel mystery oil when i run out of tolulene.i think i am just gonna buy another 32 tooth 1/2 pitch pulley from bds and run it 1 to 1 first before i overdrive.trying to take baby steps!l.o.l.:D

i'd herd someone else drive my boat at 5% overdive (or sumthing like that) and how loud it was with open headers but when my wife made a quik past me last weekend at 19.4% over drive and open headers, its was awwweesomme! she was 75ft away and my chest was thumping:D i'm running zoomies labor day to race alittle, gonna have to bring the muffs i use for skeet shooting:( :D gonna turn up the timing, turn down the btm,run 110, and see what i can do. i won't be the fastest there, but i won't be the slowest i'm sure;)

i wanted to learn how to drive it with all its power available, but i can't afford race fuel for family days out. so i turned my timing way down, thru on a 37 bottom pulley and have been getting used to that.
now marty, ya know the 1st time someone pulls along side and gives ya a nod , your gonna wish you were overdriving and used to it;) :D

i'm telling you,it's worse than drugs.that short river trip the other day has me hooked.i may have to take a few tools to the river to swap pulleys!l.o.l.i've gotta get my boost guage hooked up this weekend,i had the timing set at 29* total, locked out.i also need to get my btm hooked up.

i like the btm's, makes it easy to pull out timing on cheap gas! i locked mine at 30, and turned the btm to remove 1 degree per lb. when i run avgas. i'll leave the btm off retarding when i run 110, maybe feed it 32 total without any retarding. i've gotta o2 sensor with a decent a/f ratio meter to keep an eye on mixture, it sure helps get all ya can outta these blower motors! makes jetting a breeze!
overdrive, overdrive, overdrive! and wear yo jacket!

you've got new headers, your not gonna like what they look like after welding in o2 sensor bungs. i'm runnin a heated edelbrock kit that shows a/f ratio, it works great. not to fancy, but does what's needed. my headers are shit so i had bungs tig'd into them, then had the injector lines/weep holes tig'd closed. i'm buyin new headers this winter with bungs in them, i like knowing i'm not runnnin lean;)

those are nice! you need 1 jacket for when you race with leg straps, so it doesn't get yanked off over your head.i've got something like yours i've been using, the lifelines are so expensive!

Was reading your posts, back and forth, back and forth LMAO !!! I'm running under right now. I want to go with better gas and flip the pulley's, but I know I'll NEVER go back  I'm sooo hooked on these blower motors it's stupid. Now I gotta get one for my `79 F-150 shorty 4X4, and for the `79 F-350 CrewCab 4X4 I'm building, is there no end I ask ???
Tom are those jackets you got off E-Bay decent ? My wife is all over my ass about getting some. She heard the speedo read over 90 and won't even get in it w/o one (not that that's a bad thing). I looked at the Lifelines, but they are indeed spendy. Those one's off E-Bay look decent, but that's on my comp screen.

hey droptop,i bought those jackets, and i like them, everyone i showed them to liked them as well.i paid the guy 140 bucks each for them, but, when i got them,i felt good about it.you are hooked just like us.i always heard that w/out an intercooler, running a roots blower past 1 to 1 didn't gain much because it was putting so much heat into the motor, tom seems to be pleased.!;)

Thanks, I'm going to order up a pair tomorrow. No shit Tom is pleased, man that's an understatement . He's got the overdriven bug BAD !!! I just can't afford to get hooked on good gas just yet. I know myself, if I try it I'l never ever ever ever ever go back :D. I'm going to bump it up to 8 lbs. for know and live with the 92 I can get at my local Chevron. I know the good gas will come, but not likely this year.
I gotta figure out how to get enough $$$ for another Hampton Blower. I want to put one on this, http://i134.photobucket.com/albums/q90/DaytonaTunnel/Cimg0033-1.jpg It aleady is putting 300 to the ground, but that can be improved on LOL !

Hey Tom, the only thing I can think of off hand for intake temp reading would be a pyrometer. The one in my pick up truck swings fast (AutoMeter procomp). But they aren't cheap, and they may not read cold enough (start at 100*). You may be ably to find a digital unit ???
Even with Al heads, I doubt if I can run over on 92.

i've ran 12%over on 92:D i just turned the timing down some when i did it.you guys run 8-71's, i'm runnin a 6-71 which has to work harder to produce the same amount of boos as you, it sux and my blower needs to be stripped.i'm adding a dual plate nitrous set-up over winter and thought i'd just leave the blower alone since its gonna need the extra little clearence to huff on the bottle

i miss nitrous man, the boost is nice but the nitrous slams ya;)
i'm just gonna run a 100hp shot sometimes to cool intake charge, 100 hp shot should add about 120-130hp from the nitrous hp and intake temp decrease in the boost.just for cove racing, nothing else.

scott seastrum just added nitrous to his blown tx-18 motor, and he's bringing it to broken bow on labor day. i get to see it run before decide'n if its rite fo me. marty, you otta drag up here to okla. someday, you'd die when you pulled into the cove and be surrounded by 40-50 badass dragboats. every holiday weekend up here turns into a huge meet.i've never went to b.b. on a holiday and not seen at least 40 sick boats there, its a blast.
