Marty , use the Fel-Pro perma Torque , the Blue Rubber ones that are wire re-enforced , get the thick ones 1/4" ;)
1:1 just watch your boost and ease into it till you see what your psi. is gonna be ...use the charts and figure out where your final compression is at , may have to run better fuel ?

put a puke tank on it;) i'm blowing out oil 2, i've got 2 big k&n filters on my covers now and they just get soaked, then start spewing oil. when i was making some wot passes this weekend, i saw fire popping up from my motor area, oil was dropping on the red hot headers and bursting into flames immediately:eek:  i bought some v/covers with a puke tank from slacker and they'll be here this week, they will go on the same day;)

Do you have baffles in your valve covers or the rubber grommet baffles under the breathers? They may not be letting enough air to pass. If your breathers have foam in them they will get clogged with oil and condensation and not let the engine breathe.
What impeller cut you running and how many rpms are you turning?

I'm running Imco Valve Cover Vents (http://www.imcomarine.com/pages/performance.html) I like these better because the mounting bolts are concealed under the valve cover. Some are exposed, but I prefer the look of the Imco units. They didn't come with gaskets, so I made my own. I mounted my puke tank as high as possible to allow oil drain back. I've seen some tanks mounted at or below the valve cover height. They seem to puke oil after time. I'm also running a 160* t-stat to try and build a little block temp to help purge out any moisture. Here's a pix of the tank and it's height http://i134.photobucket.com/albums/q90/DaytonaTunnel/CIMG0284.jpg
Here's a side view of the valve cover vent

So,if Ya Run A Puke Tank,do You Run A Vac Line To It Or Does It Just Act As A High Breathing Point?

no vac to the tank, its just a high breathing point like ya said.i mounted all my stuff last nite, it looks cool and its gonna keep my transom clean:D got tired of swimming around the boat in an oil slick:eek:

Marty, I was inded getting a little moisture in the valve covers. It showed up on the top, inside. I think it's just moisture in the air that condensates in the engine. The puke tank has no vacuum to it at all, it's just a breather/reservior. Once the engine builds some heat, the water evaporates and gets pushed out the valve cover vents (which are internally baffled) to the puke tank. I drain it after each use, getting a tablespoonish of milkshake out of it. The good news is my oil is clean clean clean :).
Sanger Rat, first time on the water with a new engine ? How was it ???

Waiting to get some nice water on the river so I can really lay into it. I'm impressed with the blower. Weiand street blower 1 to 1 on the pulleys and I'm making 5# boost at 5800. The motor is a tall deck 468 with RHS 360 heads.

rex marine sells the burn down breathers. You'll need 16an male by 12an male couplers (do not use pipe thread in the breathers - it's a straight thread!). Use an O-ring on the 16an, and screw it into the breather. Use the 12an side to go to your header evacs. It's a cool setup, and easy to undo when you want to pull your valve covers. Drill 1/4" holes in the valve cover where the breathers will be and that will act as a baffle. The trick here is to make sure whatever hardware you use from the inside of the valve cover clears your valve train. If you have stud girdles, you will need to use flat head screws, and countersink the bottom side of the breathers so they'll snug up, and I have seen some clean weld on jobs. This is a non-maintenance way to go. Puke tanks are another mess to deal with.

I got my tank local. It's the same one Rex sells. I drilled the holes on the brackets to 5/16th and bolted it to the top oustside bolts on the blower rear cover. http://www.rexmar.com/page285.html
