We are huge fans of W hotels. They have a cool bar on the roof called the beach. It has heated sand. Is that in the gas lamp?

The W is nice and the Wyndham Emerald Gardens is nice as well.

I've stayed at the Hyatt in the Gas Lamp district a couple of times. Very nice hotel, walking distance to the Gas Lamp district, and right next too Seaport Village.

I spent a weekend at the Hyatt in June - It is a really nice hotel with a great view of the harbor, and within walking distance of the gaslamp, marina, seaport village, etc. I thought it was a little pricey for what it is, but still it was nice.
A few years ago I stayed at the W - Don't remember the specifics, but I remember thinking it was a pretty cool hotel.
There's a Hilton in the gaslamp that looks nice.

Been to Hotel Solamar and their rooftop bar J6-bar is amazing. Very nice place and location. Stingaree http://www.stingsandiego.com/ is amazing too. Very cool place and close to the Hotel.

The Omni is cool. If the Padres are playin you can sit in the bar and watch the game from the bar. It over looks the field.
