is it as good as they say? I have never used them before but need the carpets cleaned. I had a guy who used to clean the carpets for me out here in BHC but I have lost his number.
Anybody have any referrals for me or input on this I would appreciate it.
Thanks

Chem dry is the best IMO for carpet cleaning. The less water used the better.

Carpet manufactures reccomend steam cleaning, not dry cleaning

Should add, its nice to come home and have nice dry clean carpets. The few others locally you end up with nice wet clean carpets that the next day kinda smell musty cause of all that water they left behind.

Quoted me $135 for 3 rooms and $14 per foot on the couch although he said he can discount the couch a bit. The couch is about 10 feet long.
Are these prices pretty much in line?

Yeah, that's about right.
We've used them,, they ain't as dry as they lead you to believe. I think one of their main formula ingredients is Club Soda with a little soap
Then they buff.
It still has to dry.
If it's super dirty, the steam method is better.
They told me the worst stains are from Wedding Cake that we get a lot of at our club, and the steam method is better in that case.

Yeah, I have a ton of wedding cake stains on my carpet. I'm pretty hosting a wedding reception at my pad every other weekend.
We use Chem Dry at our club where wedding receptions are almost every Saturday.
The smashing the cake in the face of the bride and groom in the cake cutting ceremony usually results with cake in the carpet.
We had the same problem with it when we had a family wedding reception in our home.
The oil in the cake makes it brutal to remove.
The extraction Stanley steamer method works much better than the buffing Chem dry method.

Shit....this is all preventative maintenance. The place is very clean but I have been in here 3 years so I thought WTF!
Now, I want to whack the mofo in the head and take his shit from him. Whats the difference as they are robbing me also :)

The thing is that they are franchises and not like McDonald's or something like that. Basically the name and process is franchised but I think they can charge whatever they want. Here in Chino we got a flyer in the mail or something and it was from one in Riverside I think, even though there is one closer to here. We got a whole house special for right about $140 out the door. They did want a bunch to do the couches though so my wife said no and will just steam them clean with our shark steamer.
