The facilities will give these kids out here another option of things to do. Assuming that they allow youth leagues to form/play there. They really don't have a lot of stuff for kids to do out here. Anyhow, I think this would be great for the community.

BULLHEAD CITY, AZ - Excitement is building for proposed construction of a multi-purpose events center in Bullhead City that would host hockey games and other entertainment and activity. Spearheading the effort is Rick Kozuback, President and CEO of Global Entertainment, the parent corporation of the Phoenix-based Central Hockey League (CHL).
Bullhead City Manager Tim Ernster and members of the city council have visited the CHL facility in Prescott Valley. The CHL has arenas in 18 communities scattered from Arizona to Texas and from Colorado to Ohio. The event centers that can accommodate up to 6,500 spectators host 41 regular season hockey games each year along with an assortment of rodeos, motorized sports events and much more.
The city council will be provided an update at its Tuesady meeting regarding efforts to secure public lands for the project in Section 12, along Highway 95 near the Bullhead Area Chamber of Commerce. Ernster said Global Entertainment employs a model for funding the projects, sometimes involving municipal participation. He said financial planning could begin in the fall, provided thereÂ’s continued progress on the land acquisition effort.
Kozuback said the company hopes to open new hockey hosting event centers in Yuma and Texas late next year, and targets the Bullhead City project for a debut in the fall of 2009.
