I still can't figure out why the LEO's don't hang out at the ramps in the afternoon. On any given day I see 5 to 10 DRUNK boaters leaving the lake. I see this in the 10 minutes it takes us to get our boat on the trailer. I can only imagine how many LHCPD and Mohave County Sheriffs Dept. could see in a couple of hours.
One day at the Site Six "coming off" festivities, we saw a boat load of white trashers, pound two 1.75's of vodka and a liter of Jegar while waiting for their trailer to show up. That was the first time I had ever seen Vodka/Jegar bombs and they were in their boat. "Drunk" is not even a proper descriptor for what those guys were. Thank God their boat was FUBAR or I am sure they would have been out on the lake the rest of the day. LHC Firefighters were up on the balcony above us and watch the whole thing go down. I would have thought they would have called in the coppers, but they just stood there watching.
I guess LHC officials don't want to chase away the "tourists".

I clicked on that f'ing site and sent them a mail note.
I want to know what gives them the right to give information like that over the internet. If people can avoid the check points, what's the point of having them in the first place.

sober boating is safe boating...
save your cocktail hour till the boat is on da trailer...
just use our recent incidents and loss of life(s) as a reminder... everyone should have fun, but everyone should make it home too!

We have them hanging out at the ramps in Willow Valley(Private Marina). They also have a few other cars waiting out side our marina waiting for the cops description of what veichle to pull over. This only occurs on holiday weekends. I really hate to see the cops in our private marina and neighborhood all the time..but then again I dont like to see drunk boaters and other idiots. So what ever it takes to keep our community safe..so be it.

are you kidding..LEO can't even figure which agency has jurisdiction on the lake:rolleyes:
the proposed schedule looked something like this
patrolling lanes 1-6 at Windsor south SBCSO, but only on the 4th Saturday of the month in which the calendar month contains 5 Thursdays, other wise it is to be the jurisdiction of LHCPD, on the first Saturday of the month for those months that end in the letter "Y" MCSO will have jurisdiction.

The North Jet ski ramps will remain unmonitored because not even LEO wants to deal with the lake lice:D
you should see the proposed schedule for the Marina:jawdrop: :D

Yeah, let me draw you two a picture.
You pull up to the dock, drop your tow vehicle operator on shore. Then that person must walk to the tow vehicle, run the A/C unit for at least 3 minutes to knock the edge off. Wait in the retrieval line up. Back in while dodging every POS jet ski trailer cocked sideways on the ramp, takes a minute or two. During this time you see some scary azz drunks.:D
Have a good evening! :D
