Milwaukee WI info needed

I have to go to Milwaukee next month for business for a few days. can anyone recommend a nice hotel in downtown and a good place to hang out when I am not working :D

The Packers are in Green Bay. Was in Milwakee many years ago but dont remember the hotel that we stayed in. Might try to take a tour of the brewey.

Stayed at most of them around downtown, all good, the Pfister has nice ambiance...(nice word), the Ambassador is also nice, all close to the Bradley center (a duplicate of the Honda Center! Just a little trivia). Cab ride from beer alley along the river....
Great town, good party town. lots of beer and rib joints.
Wont find too many Packers around since they play a hundred miles from Milwaukee. You are also hundred miles from Chicago, and I heard they party there also....

Definately the Pfister if you can got theat kind of expense account. If you hace the time about an hour south is Lake Geneva really cool place. The place is not short on night clubs or bars - they have them there like we have gas stations on every corner.

Milwaukee in October...that's trouble, seems they have a little problem with a certain group of people in Milwaukee (I think they call them Germans!), and the liver damage cases goes up dramatically after October!!

Yes we are.
The funny thing is we were looking up nightlife and found a more upscale club with vip tables and bottle service. The table and bottle of Vodka is going to set us back $100! :p

Get a hotel around 1000 N Water St. in Milwaukee. The area around there is the hub of activity. One favorite the off duty bartenders hang out at (they did a poll) is Milwaukee Ale House which is a taxi ride from N Water St. The river and docks are there. Here's our Fountain on the left.
