Have you ever seen anyone running non jacketed headers like the basset thru transoms under a complete closed sundeck, or is this a major NO NO

I did see one guy do it....needless to say, I dont think he will ever do that again. (boat caught fire);)

You can always give it a try. Just make sure your insurance is paid and you might want to keep at least 30" of clearance from the cover to the headers:rolleyes: if you have the room.
But I wouldn't try it.:eek:

Decision made . . . I got a good set of bassett thru transom headers that are chrome that i no longer will need. . .$450

These headers on my alloy jet are non water injected and produce some major heat.And if your working around the engine can cause some nasty burns :sqeyes:
I am working on finding a set that will work between the fuel tank gards
