alright guys, im seriously looking to purchase a jet boat BEFORE summer arrives. i already have a a couple people keeping their eyes and ears open if any offers pop up.

ive definitely looked into Red Rockers boat, that thing is amazing and the condition he describes it in and from what i can see astounds me, he's like an older version of me when it comes to taking care of boats...except im prettier. :D lol j/p. If he still has his boat for sale when the time comes, ill definitely buy if he hasnt sold it already.

1. im looking for nothing less than an 18ft and nothing more than a 21ft (I dont think dads garage can hold anything bigger).
2. it has to have a backseat (no 2 seaters)
3. nothing to specific on the motor b/c i still dont know if my 460 is trashed or not so post whatever boat you have to offer.
4. all in all, im looking for an all around boat. whether a cruiser or a speed boat. if i like the style/look of it and its not over priced, ill defintely check it out and more than likely buy. but if the boats been wrecked or NEEDS A LOT OF REPAIRS, im not interested.

I will make you a deal on mine. Currently the headers exit thru the transom, but i am sure I can come up with a pair of over the transom headers and nice little caps to plug up the holes. Cool thing about the 21 is it rides like a caddy but has the performance like a little boat.

How about you give us an idea of what type of hull you are looking for. It would narrow your search down. If it does not matter, then the paint job should not matter, it can be changed. Just my two cents. Good luck. I had a nice Cole that was for sale.

so what i have is a 79 southwind jet i bought from boat house of anaheim. had the motor is a ford 460 big block rebuilt by burbank speed and marine with all the best componants. has roller rockers, new heads,rebuilt carb, and a 10qt oil pan with baffles and an easy drain system the all you have to do is push a hose out the back the the drain plug to drain the oil.motor makes aproximatly 440 hp. with a msd ignition system and a different air filter would make close to 500. while the motor was out i cut the floor out reglassed the stringer and added another and glassed that one in. than put a new floor in using marine grad wood glassed that in. the seats i had to rebuild cause they where in pretty bad shape. i would have liked to completly rebuild them but i didnt have the time or money but they are built strong. the boat interior is a few seasons old and has some minor staining around the floor area. carpet is new but the people that put it in didnt do a great job so that could be done again but nuthin to serious. the gel coat is original and is in great shape. very minor stress cracks right by the southwind plaqes. the jet is a berkely jet with a hydralic place divertor with the adjustmant button in the steering wheel. all new gafrigg gauges with red backlights and led bow lights in the tips of the bow rails. has an automatic bilge for when your away from the boat or a manual button you pull and it comes on. trailor is is good shape the bunks are all good no tear in the carpets tires are brand new onl a couple hundred miles on them all lights wrk except the little light bar in the middle on the back. has surge break that work great and has minor rusting on the trailor steps. tracks and tows awesome. if you have any questions let me know im located in the sunland and have the boat at my house cause im getting it ready for summer. thanks for lookin.

well, i like the TX-19's and was told by Gary Snow that it would fit my application perfectly.
i like ANY jet that resembles or is like my Apollo (V-hull i presume).
What i do not want:
1. the engine bay NEEDS to be exposed (not covered).
2. i do not like chrome railing (i prefer the smooth look).
3. Open-bows are out of the question.
that about sums it up.....so far.

Well I was being a smartass, no need to apologize..There was a nice jet in the chanel(havasu) for sale but he took off before I could talk to him, it was nice. The color was black though, read you didnt want a black one...The interior in my boat is black damm seats will give you worse burns than the freakin headers if your not careful... you could change it very easy to over transome exhaust. You could seel the emi thunder headers for the cost of over trans headers and lose the hatch .Would look like bigearns boat. Same boat a little older and oveousley different colors .

ron, i saw that jet tonight and have already question the owner about the boat. HOPEFULLY ill get a reply VERY soon cause that jet is beautiful. there is a blue/white "power boat" i was looking at. located in cali. guy siad he has put 40+ into it and will sell it for 13,500. :rolleyes: anyways, its a BEAUTIFUL jet. its a carrera 20.5 elite. that boat is goregous. but i think the owner is full of it.
theres a red/white Bahner 454 on there im eyeing but isnt in the best of shape (so the description says).
ron, don't give up on me just yet. i am MORE in love with jetting as the next guy. and it pains me everyday i go w. having a jet in my possession. but in my case, i just want to make sure the jet i buy....i will be happy w/ 30+years from now. like my dad was......before i wrecked his. :cry: :cry: :cry:
i am more set of a blue/white jet more than anything b/c that is that color my dad likes, as do I. and plus, since i crashed HIS jet, id like to get something more to his liking (since he has ALWAYS wanted a blue/white jet).
ive seen MANY blue/white boats out there but none to my liking. and i REALLY appreciate everyones help is helping me find a jet and im sorry for letting EVERYONE down in me turning EVERYONES offer away but im just way to damn particular. hopefully there will be some luck in the NEAR future.

dude , do i have the boat for you . this is the perfect set up, by your pictures that are shown my boat would work for you. 71 Kona 18 foot new gauges, bezels, wiring, cables, new Ellis trailer with detachable tounge lowered, fat fenders and tires, trailer has less than 1500 miles on it. alright guys, im seriously looking to purchase a jet boat BEFORE summer arrives. i already have a a couple people keeping their eyes and ears open if any offers pop up.
i know i have a decent cushion between now and when the warm weather hits so im not in THAT big of a rush.
ive definitely looked into Red Rockers boat, that thing is amazing and the condition he describes it in and from what i can see astounds me, he's like an older version of me when it comes to taking care of boats...except im prettier. :D lol j/p. If he still has his boat for sale when the time comes, ill definitely buy if he hasnt sold it already.
ANYWAYS,
1. im looking for nothing less than an 18ft and nothing more than a 21ft (I dont think dads garage can hold anything bigger).
2. it has to have a backseat (no 2 seaters)
3. nothing to specific on the motor b/c i still dont know if my 460 is trashed or not so post whatever boat you have to offer.
4. all in all, im looking for an all around boat. whether a cruiser or a speed boat. if i like the style/look of it and its not over priced, ill defintely check it out and more than likely buy. but if the boats been wrecked or NEEDS A LOT OF REPAIRS, im not interested.
5. please post links or pics of YOUR boat or anyone elses that is interested in selling.
6. the boat MUST had the Headers running ABOVE the transom!!!
7. BTW, ill be paying w/ cash $$$$$$$$$$$$. :)
