I'm in the process of going thru a boat I just bought last week. (lilricks Hallett). The shaft that runs from side to side across the transom that pushes/pulls the plate up and down via the turn-buckles has a few bushings that are worn and keep sliding out.
Where can I find replacement bushings?
What can you do to keep them in place?
Are there different materials these are made out of?
Here are a few pics so far. Hopefully be in the water by Sept./Oct.

Sweet Boat!!!!
Thanks bro, bought from some ILWU guy in the harbor. Said he wanted to take down a few notches and go jetboat racing:confused: Whatever?
Heard he picked up a "family" race boat the other day, even has a bimini top. Probably has dual batteries and a switch too.:D Oh well, his lose, my gain.
You get a call back to ITS tomorrow? If so, come by the refer shop.

Ron Braksma or Bergeron for your parts, I think

What kind of plate hardware do you have?
Do the pillow blocks for the bushings have a set screw?

no, they just sit in the block. does'nt make sense but that is the way it is.

If they are a press fit it should be fine.

Zriction,
Call Bergeron or Rex Marine and get the fiber bushings You will probably need 2 of them. Cut each one to fit the transom blocks and press them in. You can get some tiny safety collars to put on each side of the blocks or even use small hose clamps (insert banjo music here.)
Lilrick should buy that stuff for you. :D
