Hey guys, anyone hear that Chevy may put a 4.5l duramax in the 1500? Could this mean a diesel in the sub finally?

It will definitely be $50k in an LTZ 1/2 ton. they are $44k now with no diesel. there is a nice little write up on it in this months diesel power magazine.

If you did not want leather and heated seats I am sure you could get one cheaper.

I always thought a diesel in 1500 might be nice.
The first year with a new engine design, combined with the maintenance and cost of diesel might not be a good combo. I think I'll sit it out in my 1500 Vortec Max with the 345 HP gasser and wait until the pioneers put some miles on them. :idea:
