need more hp out of a 150 EFI

I have a 2000 150hp EFI Merc. I was wondering how much it would cost and what I would need to do to make it a 200hp Thanks for any info.

bigger injectors? not to much on fuel injected motors but that would be my guess

You might try a set of those v-grove spark plugs to light off the extra fuel the bigger injectors deliver. wink

POGO, I think the cheapest way to get 200 hp out of a 150 is to get a 200 hp powerhead and bolt it on. My understanding of the 150 is that it isn't fingerported and has a bunch of other differences that would take a lot of expensive machine work to change it into a 200 hp configuration.

Something simple you can do to your current set-up is relieve the exhaust. I would think you could get 15-20 hp just buy opening up the exhaust. I don't know if anything would need to be done with the computer though. Like Snapper said, I am a carb guy.
