It's all how you eat it. At El Pollo Loco you need Extra tortillas, beans and salsa. Make burritos and its a lot better than just the chicken.
We had a popeyes for about 2 years until it closed. Loved the deep fried corn deals. There was another side item that was good too but I can't remember what it was. The chicken by itself was way better than other chicken shops.

the crazy chicken is ok once in a while but i prefer Juan Pollo (http://www.juanpollo.com/). to me its just great tasting chicken and their sides are also very good. they arn't a huge franchise but if your in so cal chances are there is one near you. every person i have taken there are now hooked on it.

They opening a new El Polo Loco up near our house. I cant wait to try and hope is as good as the other ones have been to.

by far the most severe, and we're talking nuclear-explosive diahrea I've ever
had was 15 minutes after eating El Pollo Loco in Las Vegas............
my roommate barely* made it to a gas station in Henderson by the time
the eruption occurred............ what can only be described as an un-earthly
internal body cleansing/internal steam cleaning had happened to me that day.
I will never, ever, ever eat at el pollo ever again.......
you should have seen the look on the guys face who went into that restroom
when I was done with it...........
it should have been condemned, hauled off, blown up, then incinerated......

the wife and i both like the king taco carne asada burritos.. when ever we are in LA we will stop at the one on pico for lunch. we have never tried their chicken.
