Hey everyone. haven't been around in awhile due to some major home repairs. My interests have been diverted for awhile. Now that most of the repairs to the house have been done. I got back on the boat. Since I last posted on here, I have replaced all the cooling lines with -10 AN line. Installed a remote oil filter kit , also plumbed in -08 stainless. Rebuilt the back seat to fit the contours on the hull better. Finally got rid of that ugly air cleaner on there and got a nice scoop with a flame arrestor. Installed dual Optimas in the bow with a nice REX Marine billet Battery box. Ran the stereo for 5 hours on sunday and the boat fired right up.
Finally got some video of my boat in action. I hope ya enjoy the tail.

This is all the -10 stainless for the cooling lines. Im going to replace 2 of the 45 degree fittings with 90's on the one hose on the right to tuck it behind the ones going into the block off plate.

Here is the remote oil filter mount. I thought I would put a tee fitting in the one side so I can hook up a pump of some sorts to suck the oil out of the engine instead of reaching under it to pull the drain plug. Have yet to test it. In theory, it should work.

Here are the dual Optimas I mounted in the front. I got one yellow top and one red top. The only thing hooked to the red top is the msd box and starter. This way I can run the lights and stereo all day/night and not worry about starting it up. Thumbs up to REX Marine. They got me that polished mount in time for the labor day weekend. Rex, if you read this, Your one employee, Ryan, REALLY helped me out with this mount.

Here are the selinoids I used to connect all this together. The one on the left is a Cole Hersey continuous duty relay. When the key is in the on position, it connects the 2 batterys to charge them. When the key is off, there isolated. Works great. On the right is a standard Ford starter relay. Soon to be replaced with a marine version.

That was a Glasstron CSS with a blown 400 smallblock. We were about equal in speed. I had 4 people in my boat and he was alone. But it was a sharp boat. If I was to get a prop boat, that would be the one. :D

Anybody running over the transom exhaust up there and getting away with it?

There where a few people running OT headers last year. I got hassled every time I went out with mine. Since converting to thru hull, never been stoped yet. Plus I can talk to people in the boat now.
I was exceeding the speed limit that whole video. At one point in the video, you should here me say, "Smoke!"
Turns out a guy launched his boat in the south part of the lake and it burst into flames. So, all state police boats where at the scene. Left the whole north end of the lake for us to open it up some.

No I never been on the lake. Is there always a speed limit or is it just on weekends?
I was up there four weeks ago. I purchased a canoe from Hopatcong Boat House. I didn't put the canoe in the water up there either, just strapped it on the roof and drove home.

Here is the good news. The speed limit is only on the weekends between memorial day and labor day. Other than that, its run 'em wide open.
Funny you mention Hopatcong boat house. I know the guy who owns that place and he lets me use his launch ramp free of charge. I live not even 1 minute from there. And that includes getting my a$$ off the couch and into the truck.
And with the OT headers. When I was running mine, The officer told me there fine with water injection. So as long as you got water running through there, your good to go.
