Holes in bottom

Hi! This is my first post and probubly woun't be my last. I'm restoring a 1970 hondo straight deck. I'll post some pictures when I get them back. Have a question. Filling holes in bottom of boat where pedal went. Can I use marine tex 2 part epoxy without wooden dowles? Thanks

Yes you can, bore the holes to the next size so they're clean, cut the dowels a tad short to leave room for finish, smear Marine-Tex on the dowels and push them in then fill both sides and let cure, sand smoothe and final finish, gel, paint,etc!..
