its a 1998 Kawasaki 750sxi pro twin carb. Needs crank, one new piston, rings, and rebuild. also need new drive shaft seals, leaking water from that area. In first post I have some links where inexpensive parts are available. If you can work on these, its a deal at 1500.00, IF you paid retail shop labor and parts...this WOULDN't be the right project.

That will not outrun my 750 or 800 :)
Tobtek. There is a guy that rides everyday in Oceanside. He goes by the name Everyday Tom. Even rides there on Christmas. He runs 750s and obviously goes thru them at a quick rate riding there everyday. Can't miss him. He may be interested. Mine is setup straight line and bouys, with mods so he would of had to rip the whole thing apart to make it work for him in the ocean.

You have his # ?
this is Royals out play boat. Set up real basic, no pipe, no big carb mods. just good cheap fun. What all is done to your 750? My old PJS race 750 was stubid fast with works cyl, MRD girdle head, Skat pump, Ect.....was CRAZY fast.

PM'd you his contact info and a little background.
My Sxi is in the spam section, pwctoday forum, and trader. Had a bunch of calls but I think people are afraid of the power and the fact that it has numbers on the side of it. It has a factory dry pipe, taucettis, black jack carbs, etc etc. No waterbox - the thing sounds like a banshee. Set up for bouys and top end so the powerband makes it hard for the inexperienced rider. Anyway my 800 kills it - JSU built out of PHX. I see Andy01 has a new 800 - Can he ride it? :D I ride mornings a lot at body beach when I am in Havasu. A little change up from dealing with the Havazoo antics on the weekends.

Andy01 owns two as of today...... :D maybe we can ride sometime. Or should I say you can watch me float around on mine.... In time. My wife said, sell the DCB and don't build anything. We'll just ride the 800's. I don't think that will be said in late Oct. from her.

nahhhh, checked one out at AP awhile back... I'll take a new 800 thanks. Still haven't riden a new 800, but I hear they handle awesome for closed course.
Question for ya SJP.... they flywheel the same on this SXI and a SXR? Like to save the 500.00:idea:

SJP

Yes I believe you should be good to go with the flywheel. MSD makes a kit that is the same part # for both skis as well. Another option is the Advent electronics with a JSU flywheel. When you are ready to pull the trigger I would highly recommend JSU in PHX. I ordered mine out the door with a bunch of parts and they really know what they are doing. Mine has been flawless for two seasons. The 800 rips, a lot out there. I am pretty Busch League so the 800 makes you look good.:)
I hear you on the Hydrospace. They have been having a lot of issues on the hull and sourcing parts / warranty etc even for high end racers in their program (read on line - take it for what it's worth). You add in four stroke, turbos etc etc - you are bringing in bunch of headaches you already have with boat, rhino, truck, sports car etc etc. I would not trade my SXR for the Hydro or SJ.

I've been down the road of total loss ign kits back in the day, the headaches are fine if your a racer, but at my level I'll take a lightweight charging flywheel. I'll have to find a stock 750/800 flywheel before I list this one again on Craigslist. Come on down to mission bay for a afternoon, some of my old racer buddies have been getting together and running buoys again. We look VERY sad out there, but where are having fun. REALLY want to try a SXR, hear they are the ticket if your doing buoys. There's fricking heavy tanks though.

I hope it has a twist throttle too. Does it have a working headlight? And where is the stereo remote control mounted?
Are you interested in a trade for my 800?

Riding in Oceanside brings back memories. My buddies and I were there every Sunday even during the winter. I think I sank 2 stand ups and broke the back off of 2 seadoos. My last ski I ran there was a kawasaki green 99 spx. Lots of fun.
