THAT current Honda wont put a dent in the Rhino market. Honda came out way Conservative as always. NOW the new KAWASAKI just might do some damage. Sept 5th is the normal Yamaha release date, waiting to see what big blue brings.

It is ugly. It will not put a dent in Rhino sales but maybe the Ranger. Not saying that the Ranger is ugly, but it is more akin to the Ranger than the Rhino. Just my .02

They sure spent alot of time on that POS?
Looks are sub par and they didn't do anything special motor wise. I don't see it being a threat and I would still rather have a Rhino,Ranger,Rzr.

I bet you if it were called "Big Pink" instead of Big Red, you'd be all about it. :crossx:
It looks like someone jacked some mountain bike handle bars and welded them for a front bumper. :D

That model won't touch the Rhino/RZR crowd. Honda was either in a hurry or thinks the loyalty will carry over to any design.
Good luck

I thought the same thing when I saw it, but then I thought hard and realized I say that about 90% of the new trucks when they come out with a new body style.....There is a reason we have Ford, Chevy and Dodge and they have each have a following...cause everyone has different tastes.
I think Honda will cut into sales, as I think Polaris will continue to cut into Yami sales...the new Razor commercial which clearly states it as the fastest will go a long way with the consumer and will help the look grow on people as the new chevy with the long face grew on people...Honda cut into Yami Jet Ski sales and they will do so with the 2x2 as Honda has a following and the look will grow on them...
In addition, stock, the rhino looks boring, the tricked out ones (as like lifted trucks) helps everyone look beyond the boring look and more at the opportunity to trick it out and make it into the aggressive 2x2 it should be.......saw a couple tricked out Razors recently and a new cage, paint, and wheels can go a long way to making that 2x2 look 100% better then stock....same can be said for the Rhino..

We're just starting to get used to the "Long Face Chevy".
The GMC version seems easier to look at.
But they both have the rear end "dago'd" a foot higher than the front. That,, I can't get over.
The New Kawai Sport V-twin S x S should be released soon.

Looks like farmer John will have something else to choose from besides the Kawi Mule. If they hurry up and put a Bud sticker on the hood and a #8 on the side they might be able to sell a few Dale Jr editions before he goes to Hendrick.

Now this Kawai looks bad ass!!
"At the core of the Teryx 750 4x4 is its strong and proven 749cc 90-degree V-twin engine, the same engine that gives the Brute Force® 750 4x4 its distinguished high performance. The mid-chassis mounted engine gives the Teryx 750 4x4 a displacement and V-twin torque advantage over its contemporaries and delivers the performance that RSV customers have been seeking. Mated to the engine is Kawasaki’s superb constant velocity automatic transmission (CVT), which transfers the power from the big V-twin to the wheels smoothly and quickly. The output of the duo provides a true sport performance, yet in a controlled manner that allows the driver to harness the full potential of the Teryx 750 4x4."

We have the quad with this motor in it and that thing rips. I would love to have that motor in a SXS. Why is it not fuel injected though? now living at elevation, that becomes a big deal. The Rhino runs like crap up here.

Wow, you Honda boys must be thrilled to see that all of that waiting and hullabaloo wasn't for nothing. I mean Honda really came out swinging with the release of their Big Roach... er... Big Red. They've positioned themselves nicely to take on the veritable juggernaut that is the Polaris Ranger. Oh, and not to rest on their laurels Honda has gone ahead and borrowed another piece of cutting edge technology from Polaris' vast pool of innovative and successful design by introducing the new TRX700 with INDEPENDENT REAR SUSPENSION. They must've seen how people were falling over themselves to get on the Outlaw. In fact, Polaris' IRS worked so good they decided to scrap the whole concept for 2008. This is truly a proud day for all Honda dealers and I wish I could be there to share in the high-fives and jubilation but alas I am stuck here at the Yamaha dealership where pesky customers keep asking to pay top dollar for Rhinos and Raptor 700's. Oh, well. Happy selling gentlemen... Oh, and as a side note, if you guys get tired of people beating down your door for a chance at the thrill ride that must be the new Big Lead...sorry...Big Red, let me know. I'm sure I can find something for you here.:D

I have spent some time deep in the mountains on a Ranger and I think they are great! Great power and stock suspension rides pretty nice. We had 3 full grown adults in the front with the back loaded with camping and fishing gear and it tackled everything Boulder Mountain Utah had to offer. We took road that usually pack llamas take.
You'll be happy with your Ranger.

So I assume you changed out the ECU and removed to the Rev limiter to get to 53 versus the 42 mph stock Rhino speed? The Razor get to 55 stock....in addition, all you have to do is remove the spacer in the clutch, and buy a programmer to remove the rev limiter on the Razor and it will do 65 mph with no other mods needed. It is also 26% faster to 35mph...
100 pounds lighter, 30% more horsepower and 44% better power to weight ratio it is easy to see why it is faster. Plus after sitting in it, it is definitely more aligned for aggressive driving then the Rhino...The Rhino is less like a truck then a ranger but still truck like...not sportscar like
Do like the backseat option of the Rhino and Ranger though...

Don't think I'd like to be going 65 in a Razor or a Rhino. That's just asking for a serious accident.

These guys look very cozy together and they must not have families so there is no need for a back seat or additional passengers. They might be so happy with each other that they dont need any heterosexual relationships. These are the only machine if you like rough riding and no utility functions. Im sure the hunters are lined up to get these.
