Correct me if I'm wrong, but this is not a Sanger. Hull design is close, but wrong, HIN shows a handmade boat out of Illinios. Doesn't fit the T-bubbledeck style in '85.

Judging from the depth of the runners, I would agree with you. Also, I just bought a 74 bubbledeck and the HIN starts with SAN same is true on my 84 Hydro. :) I don't know just my 2cents worth anyhow. :D

I agree with flattie it looks to be a Howard or a Brendella they also made that 2" runner.

Aside from in not being a Sanger, has anyone ever seen a "car" water pump ran on a boat like that before? You'd think that after the boat gets on plane that the pump wouldn't be able to keep up. Those things don't spin that high. Yes there are many other faults with the boat but the pump looked kind of funny.

I contacted the seller and told him it was not a Sanger. He replied the title said it was. I gave him the facts, the HIN results from USCG and my opinion after being around Sangers for over 30 years. No change in the listing, that's B.S. If i knew who the bidders were I'd e-mail them.

my guess its a pre 72 so it does not have a hin and the title was lost.

I really don't know, but that is the only way I can see it not having a HIN( unless it was stolen at one point.)

Since we're on the subject, On my title it says 1984 Sanger but there is no HIN. Also there is no dash plaque on the boat but if you look from behind you can see the two holes filled in from where there was one at one time. The Hull is very solid and has what we assume to be all original Stellings hardware and Sanger Jones Tach. Any thoughts from the experts on here? Is it a legit Sanger hull?

P.S. Thanks for any help in advance. By the way I was wet sanding the floor at the time of the pic.

Doesn't look like a Sanger to me. Also, I had read that the Sanger HIN was on the right side of the transom starting in 1973 or 1974? Even to this day, the Sanger HIN is in that location on their Ski Sanger hulls. I also read that on early Sanger's (prior to the HIN on the transom), the HIN was on the inside rear of one of the stringers. My 1971 Sanger flat has no HIN that I can locate. It is a bubbledeck.
This has to be one of the first V-drive flatbottom's with carpet :) . Maybe this guy found a way to keep the interior dry. That'd be a first :D
