This coming Sunday (Sept 16th) there is a big car show in Beloit WI at a park right on the river. I usaully take the boat up, make a few passes for the crowd, then stop at the car show and look around. Since its the end of the season, shouldn't be any issue with the County Sheriff or DNR. Anyone wanna meet up that morning, make a few passes, stop at the car show and maybe hit a bar for a drink or 2? Details on the car show at: http://www.beloitautorama.com/

I usually put in at Jerry Sports Service on Highway 51 (Riverside Drive) at the north end of Beloit. I know the owner so we launch for free. We could meet up at an easier to find location. Probably go out around 10:30ish. So far its just me. I didn't expect a lot of people, just getting towards the end of the season, so I'm taking every opportunity I can.
Before I get too excited I have to see if the river is open, I'll find out today and let ya know.
Calling for a high of 68 and partly cloudy.
Flattie: 60 degrees, thats perfect weather, the motors love that cool air! Plus I got this chick named Lily that wants to meet you.

Here is the best River Gage it can tell you how high the water is at any given location http://www2.mvr.usace.army.mil/WaterControl/new/layout.cfm

Unfortunately at work, I'm always looking at the river gauges as the Des Plaines likes to flood in the Village I work in and I work in municipal government. According to NOAA (http://www.crh.noaa.gov/ahps2/hydrograph.php?wfo=mkx&gage=aftw3&view=1,1,1,1,1,1,1,1), Rock in Beloit is below flood stage, but not by much, I'll call Jerry's Sport Service tomorrow and get an update on whether its still no wake.

I hate to burst everyone's bubble after the overwhelming response I got  but the river in Beloit is still no wake and not looking promising for this weekend.
