View Full Version : Any Tranny Guys in OC/LA Area?

Hey I recently bought a 1987 GMC Jimmy (K-5, 4wd, the whole works) and I totally love it! Unfortunately, the gasket on the transfer case doesn't seal, so it leaks.
I already have a quote from the guy I usually go to, but he would have to send it to a transmission shop up in Pomona. I would rather take it somewhere closer, and I was wondering if anyone had any recommendations. I live in the Los Angeles/Orange County area.

I use Crestomatic trans on Lincoln in H G/Cypress area. He a fair and been in business for about 40 years.

The ONLY place I use is Remac Transmission in San Dimas. Talk to Leo.
It might be out of your way, but the work he does is worth it.
Tell him that Mike with the Red Chevelle sent you. I have referred several friends over there, and they have all been pleased with the work that he has done.
In my drag can I have put 300 1/4 mile passes on my transmission with an engine pushing 650-675 Horsepower in a 3500lb car and it has been rock solid every pass

Leo has two race cars of his own, and he does all of his own stuff. So you know his work can handle anything. He also does work for a couple of the roundy round cars over at Irwindale as well.
He won't jerk you around, he'll tell you wants wrong and what needs to get replaced.

4 wheel plus in bellflower on bellflower blvd did my son right on his tranfercase on his suburban good prices as well goodluck.
