Just got off a 5 day houseboat trip to Mead. It was wonderful. We had a great time. Hate to think about Monday and work.

Was at Havasu from Wednesday to Sunday. Nice. No crowd until Saturday and then it seemed light. There was an occasional light breeze but really no wind at all.

Took the kids to Universal Studios.
I wanted to hang out at the Hard Rock and watch football while the kids hit the park.
Wife wasn't happy about that idea so,,,
We had the place to ourselves.
They wanted almost $300 to get in for four, one visit, and the wife balked.
Felt it isn't worth it, and she's right.
AAA discount is only $3.
So I stepped up to the ticket window for negotiations.
We talked them into a locals discount and the whole family got in for about $160.
And they threw in a second visit for free.
Hold that thought.
Food there is excellent.
You can do the whole place twice in about 3 hours though.
The Mummy roller coaster was good, but way too short. The wait was zero minutes to get on.
Chargers game was televised all over. Easy to get a beer or cocktail too.
Once every 10 years to Universal works for me,,, if at all.

It was a working weekend...worked on the new house but come Thursday it will get much better...leave for Panama for a week...all expenses paid...including booze :D :D :D

Had a ball jumping around in the Finding NEMO jumper with my grandson, he turned 2 yesterday. Everytime we fell he'd ask if I was ok, we laughed and kept jumping....that was the greatest :) :) :) :)

Went to our last dragboat race of the year this weekend. Only got one round of qualifying in on Saturday because of rain, so beer thirty came pretty early. A few of us got struck by the white lightning, so it made for an interesting evening. Sunday was a great day of racing! Definitely going to be a long winter...
