Looks cool. What's that thing seat? Looks like about 8 people.

Looks like more of an open bow walk thru then a true deckboat, and I agree that there isn't much seating for a 30' boat.
But, I did see it on Havasu on Saturday, and it looked and sounded sweet. Nice boat for a niche market. A go fast quasi deck boat.

From the looks of it I would say it is not a very roomy 30 foot deckboat and not too functional either.

Having had a deckboat, good access is one of the keys. I don't like the idea of having to enter the boat from the transom area and be swimming/climbing around all that hardware. Two props, outdrives, and the tie bar would make entry difficult.
Looks like a go fast boat that is trying to take advantage of the possibility of lower interest rates due to the "deckboat" moniker.

I agree it looks like an afterthought cause they did not want to change the deck/bottom molds to be truly a deck....
One thing I do like is the higher side consoles with built in subs...that looks pretty trick.

Well if everyones going to be out running 100 mph in deckboats, I guess it's about time that a mfg came up with a deck that looks like it should be running 100mph!
I think it's a niche market, but I definately like it!
People keep saying "It's not a very good deckboat becuase.." I don't think they were trying to build the best deck.. but rather something sporty, but with more deck style creature comforts for the wife and kids. If that's the case then I think they hit the Mark, for both Mom and Dad.

ditto on the swim step. A molded in step would look alot better. Thinking Javier should get credit for the "new Rage" in gell schems down there:D
looks like a good boat for someone that KINDA wants a deckboat. They will sell a ton to a nich crowd that can afford to be different from all the other decks out there. Hehehe.... all the other decks:)

I was able to see the boat last year when they were tooling it. It looked better then than it does in this picture, so the picture could just be the wrong angle. I like the seating in the aft part of the boat. I could dig a F-29 or 32 with just four seats and easy rear entry.
Nice boat for that guy that doens't want a normal deck boat. I wonder who will build the first 150 mph one...... "No Pass ll"
Looks good for the first one, I also like the taller side pods with the subs in them.
Brian post some pictures.

I think your looking at the 1st 150mph+ deck. I think this one has twin 900's in it. The taller side pods are a result of the innerliner. I think it's the same innerliner as mine which was tooled from the 32 innerliner.
Overall, I like it. Not big on the colors. I think green a blue has seen it's day. I wonder how the rear entry actually works. Should be pretty easy in and out. The tie bar should sit right at water level. With the handles next to the lower step it should make it very easy to get in. I think the drives will be a pain to clean.

Although I like molded swim steps better...for a bolt on that is a pretty trick swim step in the up close pics...also should be very easy to board and unboard....
Agree with Glenn though...drives will be fun to clean..:)
Pretty trick deck for the guy who wants to see ETicket's go by in his rear view like Yugo's to Ferrari...:)
Also love the subs galore...two in back, two in front...look like W6's or 7's...

Keep in mind guys it's called a "sport deck" for a reason.... Having tons of room was not the only consideration when they designed this thing... I personally like the bucket seats, especially if Dad wants to go out with a few friends at sunset and make some 100mph+ bullet runs....this item is not for your typical deck boat owner, but rather someone who might like this ;)

Yes DCB did build a boat like that. DCB was building those 7 years ago, it's called a open bow walk thru. The boat they did it to was the Mach 26 of the Mach line. Speaking of 7 years is your boat going to be done this year?

looks like that might not be possible with how the rear deck is cut down, and the steped swim step would interfere with the drive??? Would have to go Mr Harley style and do F29 walk through, and put that quad motor thats in the spam section:D

We know but we usually aren't the type to post pictures or a rendering of a boat unless the owner has already done so. In this case the pictures don't do the boat justice so I thought we'd post the rendering.

First and foremost the boat is beautiful definitely a niche product for that particular discerning client/customer. I like the graphics and the inclusion of the stereo components in all the right places.

Comments:
The rear swimstep [lower one with handles] needs a folding swimstep underneath. Otherwise, 90% of people would not be able to yank themselves up into the boat.
As a true Sportdeck where does the BIMINI attach if at all  . If your gonna sell it to MOM then you better have some shade in 100 plus heat because a cranky hot mom will not make for good company not to mention the kids.
Price wise I would assume about $340,000 or higher depending on the customers choices. This then beckons the question if were in the $400k range you could buy two other deckboats fully equipped for the same price with big power. However, I catch myself at times because logic/economic value and boating do not always balance out:D .
I like it overall the no expense spared approach is appealing and I assume the handling and high speed ability of this boat are up to par--- based on the prior lineage of DCB boats of the past/present.
KAP
P.S. I would also like a table mount somewhere maybe in the front or have two with one in the back as well:D :D ---really I'm not joking.

First off let me say this boat is beautiful......Now, am I the only one who thinks 400k for a boat(any boat) is unthinkable. Ragardless of how much money you make, how could a person EVER justify spending 400k on a boat when 400k could buy you a whole list of things which would be a much better use of money?
I know you cant put a price on fun but when you can have a awesome deckboat for 60k-100k and have the same amount of fun, why spend 400k?
If I made 10mil/year I would still not be able to justify spending 400k on a boat. Not trying to put anyone down, it just amazes me.

There are people out there that make a lot of money. It just has to be put in perspective. If people can spend 750k on a baseball, I think 400k on a boat is deffinately a possibility.

I havent' seen this sit on the water but I am guessing the bottom step along with the tie-bar are under water about 3 inches or so. That is true with the F32. So a swim step is not necessary 'IMO'.

Clownroyal:
I thought about that but usually the upper portion of the drive and tie bar is out of the water while floating. I also thought that maybe with the twin motors the rear end would be wetter ie... lower and thats why only the two grab handles.
Our previous boat had a retractable step on the port side and the edge of the swimstep was in the water but you simply could not get in and out without stepping on the ladder and using the portside handle.
However, you might be right it would be nice to have some water photos. I'd love to see a video----with those twin motors between 5 & 6k rpm's. I would not be surprised to see some serious top end numbers between 135-145 plus or minus 2-3MPH.

Took the drop down step off my F-29. Not needed. Tie bar sits at water level or just below. Real easy to slide your butt onto the tie rod and board the boat.

That is all that matters. I have seen and been in DCB's and theyare very nice and there is a definite attention to detail, but there is also the flaws in DCB's shared by other builders boats as well. No boat is perfect! They are built by humans. Congrats to your dad. It is a beautiful boat.:)

Im sure you're right, but, we haven't found any yet. Let you know if we do though. For what we wanted and were looking for this boat fits the bill perfectly. Fast, stable, and enough room to fit the family and a few friends. On our last boat MOM wouldnt go over 65 without complaining. Now she sits down, holds on, wants to go faster. 130+ not a problem. Just somthin to think about for those of you wanting a go fast boat and have a wife to keep happy.

That is all that matters. I have seen and been in DCB's and theyare very nice and there is a definite attention to detail, but there is also the flaws in DCB's shared by other builders boats as well. No boat is perfect! They are built by humans. Congrats to your dad. It is a beautiful boat.:)

Penske board is used in place of plywood. It is 30% lighter and 35% stronger. they are using it in drag cars and NASCAR.

I think DCB needs to stick to making fast boats that just go fast. Not hybrid boats for the soccer dad that wants to go fast when the kids are off the boat and wants to have a playpen with the kids on the boat.
