After wrestling with and getting Office 2007 to work correctly (Outlook shutdown problem solved) I am left with: When I start Internet Explorer, or other Microsoft programs, a window pops up "windows installer", then it closes, then a second time, then closes, rapidly. How can I find out what program is trying to install? I tried setting a windows installer log, but it does not stay open long enough to log anything. Help, please. Mike

Could it be doing initial updates or installs on features?
Is it doing it less as you open the programs more times?
I don't know, but have seen that before, especially with an intermittent connection. Make sure you are connected. ( I am sure you are)
