help i think i got fuced. i bought a comp cam timing chain from someone at a swapmeet and the box has 3110 which shows for a bbc but the gear has s394 the one i pulled off has s392 is it the right one or not? everything looks the same but the slots in the gear itself

Go to comp cams website and check!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

did that already and they just list whats on the box and not the gear. i e-mailed them hopefully they will get back to me tomorrow

all the marks and the teeth are the same, the timing dot is in the same spot. the slots are 1/2 the lenght of the slot offset is all i can see different

not the keyway its the oval slots in the middle of the gear

I went to the website. You are right, it doesn't give specs. But, it is for a BBc. One is a Magnum and the other is a Hitech. Compare it with the old one, it should work!!

Maybe,( I really don't know if they are different), but it could be for a MK5/6 or MK4 if you have a MK 5/6.........Just a guess...........MP

everything loks the same. i am thinking its just a different model like you say fleet. but just to be sure i will call comp in the morning. i need to get this done and i am running out of time:mad:

Maybe its the shorter set for aligh honed blocks. Gen4/5 are the same Gen6 is the step nose cam gear and mostly single roller.
