what i find strange is that you need to know how to change the oil and fliter in a car, fix a flat on a bike, but no where does it say now how to change a tire on a car...

Popular Mechanics has published a list of 25 skills every man should know.Any nimrod can do most of these things. What's missing from the list is HOW WELL they're done...
For example,
1. Patch a radiator hose without getting 3rd degree burns on your face and arms
4. Frame a wall so that it doesn't look like a wall you might see in Tijuana
6. Back up a trailer without like 16 tries while everyone points and laughs
8. Fix a dead outlet without the fire department being called to put out the house fire and/or perform CPR on you
11. Sharpen a knife without leaving a giant pool of blood
13. Fillet a fish without visiting the emergency room
17. Paint a room without also painting the carpet, curtains, and furniture
etc... :D
