Well, it is mostly a bunch of really nice guys commiserating about their problems with running a 455 in a jet boat.

I'm pretty well versed in dealing with BBC and SBF stuff, as far as drag racing, and stuff like that. But my jet boat has a 455 olds (rated at 365hp). I have been made aware of the oiling issues with sustained RPM use, and oil getting trapped up top, etc. What are the 455's other problems to watch out for?? I don't want to make the swap yet, maybe next season. (I'm just outside of Chicago, we only get to use our stuff, maybe 6 mos. a year)

About 6 Months Ago ***boat Did An Article On 455 Olds Build. The Only Thing I Can Remember Is That An Olds Was Lighter Than Bbc.
